Semalam, Amerika Syarikat telah mengiktiraf keputusan pilihanraya di Malaysia dan meletakkan ia satu pilihanraya yang paling berdaya saing dalam sejarah di Asia Tenggara, walaupun pembangkang kata ada penyelewengan dalam undi.
Jurucakap Jabatan Negara Patrick Ventrell berkata AS memandang ke hadapan untuk bekerja dengan kerajaan yang akan dibentuk oleh Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak selepas pakatan beliau kembali berkuasa setelah memenangi pilihan raya parlimen Ahad lalu.
